Ingoglia, a native of Plantation, Florida, was originally selected by the Florida Marlins in the 18th round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft out of Stetson University. Ingoglia spent one season in the Marlins farm system where he appeared in 13 games posting a 1-5 record working 35.2 innings primarily out of the bullpen during three stops that included GCL Marlins, Jamestown, and Jupiter of the Gulf Coast League, New York-Penn League, and Florida State League. He was released by the Marlins following the 2007 season and signed with Florence of the Frontier League in 2008. Last year he split time between the Washington Wild Things and River City Rascals, both of the Frontier League, where he appeared in 22 games making 16 starts posting a record of 6-9 striking out 80 batters while issuing only 37 free passes in 92.0 innings of work.
