This is Clay's 4th year as a pro and first with the Colts. The 6’6” Clay Calfee hails from Brownwood and was a standout at Angelo State. Clay was a 2007 and 2008 All-America Honorable Mention and holds ASU career records in average (.404), RBIs (171), at-bats (592), runs scored (171), hits (239), doubles (55), total bases (392), walks (97), RBIs (171) and slugging percentage (.662). Calfee also holds single season records in slugging (.741), games played (71), putouts (510), fielding percentage (.993) and is among the top three in over dozen other categories. In his senior year in 2008 he hit an amazing .418 with 13 homers and 63 RBI. Clay is also a great all-around athlete beginning his career for Angelo State as a catcher before becoming a standout first baseman and picking up 10 career victories on the mound. After finishing at Angelo State, Calfee was a 14th round draft pick of the Dodgers in 2008 and spent three years in their organization. Clay played in the Pioneer, Arizona, Midwest and California Leagues, where he hit 15 home runs in 129 career games.
